The infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR) virus is a disease caused
by herpesvirus type 1, also known herpesvirus IBR. The IBR is a highly
contagious disease which affects the upper respiratory tract and can
cause pneumonia, primary or secondary. Clinical signs characterized by nasal
discharge, fever and conjunctivitis. The acute phase of disease is associated
with a decrease in milk production. Additionally, adult cows may
suffer abortion and infertility. The presence of this pathology is associated with
increased susceptibility to secondary bacterial infections.
IBR Herpesvirus Qual PCR Box 1.0 detects the gene encoding
the glycoprotein of avirus.
IBR Herpesvirus Qual PCR Box 1.0 is a molecular diagnostic test for infection
with bovine herpesvirus type 1 (BHV1), with higher sensitivity, specificity and
faster than traditional methods. |
